Jazkamer: Un CD al mes

In 2010 Pica Disk ventures on its most ambitious project yet: to release one Jazkamer CD-album every month of the year.

The Jazkamer 2010-series will be 12 proper new albums. The idea is to keep things exciting all the way, so in keeping with Jazkamer’s eclectic tradition of making very different sounding records, each monthly album will be different from the previous installments. The 2010-series will cover the wide (non)musical range Jazkamer has become known for since they started in 1998. This includes:

• First studio recordings of the metal line-up since ”Metal Music Machine” album
• New ”Art Breaker”-style grindcore recordings
• New ”Panic”-style broken-blues material
• Collaborations with John Wiese, Putrefier, Government Alpha and others
• Material with regular four-piece line-up of Hegre, Marhaug, Gross and Drønen
• And much, much more. Expect some surprises along the way also.

The CD’s will be packaged in proper digipak covers, and each will feature artwork by a different visual artist, like Savage Pencil, Martín Escalante, Jose de Diego, Justin Bartlett, Yasutoshi Yoshida and others.

Los seis años desde la formación de la banda habían servido para crear 27 minutos de una perversa combinación de Black y Death Metal, seguida con devoción entre los círculos del Metal marginal. Un corto minutaje diseminado a través de una maqueta y dos compartidos que el LP “Seven Chalices” se encarga de aumentar con casi una hora de duración, ello en un álbum donde cada segundo es un golpe en la mesa de auténtica demostración de actitud y habilidad para crear una de las obras más devastadoras del Metal extremo actual.

La sonoridad está poseída, llevando en sí misma el caos, la violencia y crudeza junto a las oscuras atmósferas que también crean formaciones como Proclamation y Necros Christos, con sus raíces puestas en Blasphemy, Possessed y Von.
Pero aquí todo se lleva a un nivel más álgido de agresividad, una descarnada ceremonia en la que cada composición se percibe con una estructura propia en unión con interludios que hacen de invocaciones ritualísticas para dar paso a una nueva pieza.

La crudeza de la monstruosa rabia vomitada a través de los altavoces, se convierte a su vez en una épica banda sonora de la putrefacción mejor engendrada en un largo tiempo, donde emergen tramos en los que la guitarra engulle a la salvaje batería para crear una atmósfera de diabólica cacofonía.
La utilización de la voz rezuma un hedor malévolo, es una fuerza endemoniada en “Morbid Devil of Pestilence” y agonizante en “Seven Chalices of Vomit and Blood”, pasando a convertirse en una sombría oratoria una vez llegados a “Qliphotic Necromancy”.

Un disco que se registró en 2007 y cuya elaborada gestación lo ha llevado a ser publicado en Marzo del presente año.
Obra de difícil digestión musical aún para el oyente acostumbrado al Metal extremo, y que conceptualmente ofrece una riqueza de elementos ocultos, místicos y una profundidad apocalíptica que son resultado de un proceso de confección encomiable.
Un proceso que entra primeramente a través de los ojos en uno de los trabajos visuales más elaborados y que mejor representan la identidad de la música. Trabajo del ilustrador Timo Ketola quien colabora en la autoría de la letra para el tema “The Origin of Death”, demostrando una implicación que prácticamente le convierte en otro de los componentes de Teitanblood.

La conjunción de idiomas, símbolos y conceptos hace de cada detalle una muestra más del esfuerzo y dedicación puesta en un conjunto de temas que forman una obra visceral, blasfema y poseedora de una asfixiante y oscura épica.

From the Basement es una página web creada por un colectivo de personas metidas en el mundo audiovisual y apasionadas de la música, y dirigidos por el productor e ingeniero de sonido Nigel Godrich.

Consiste en diversas sesiones musicales grabadas en video con calidad HD de grupos/músicos en solitario de variados estilos (principalmente Pop/Rock alternativo).


Pasaron de difundir los videos mediante poadcasting como programa online a un espacio en televisión
en la cadena británica Sky Arts.
